Hi! My name is Ulunma Egwim. I am a 15 year old junior with a 4.0 at Ujamaa School. I am the top of my class and the second of five children. This summer I have an opportunity to attend Georgetown University’s Law Institute for High School Students. My dream is to be a lawyer and doing this program will help me see how law really works. I wish to study law/political science because I believe it will arm me with the proper tools to fight against injustice. Grumbling about how people are being wrongly convicted while doing nothing doesn’t help, so I have decided to get into the heart of the matter, the judiciary system.

At Ujamaa I am the lead dancer of Ujamaa’s Afrikan Dancers and Drummers and the student administrative assistant. I work as co-editor of the school’s newsletter, Sema Tena, and I volunteer in my school’s kitchen. I enjoy being a member of something big and making a positive impact. With your help, I can continue to help others around me. Please help me fund the next step into changing the world. Thank you!
